NEWS about the Space Marine game

Taking a break from the books i just thought i'd post this

http://www.videogamer.com/pc/warhammer_40k_space_marine/preview-3000.html

As an avid gamer i'm really looking forward to playing this. I love other Warhammer games but this is going to be the first time we can really get into that power armour.

I'm sure i'll review this when it's out, but until then i'll be posting news on it every now and then.

Thought i should say

I dont always give fantasticly positive reviews. I just started with some favorites.

So if you enjoy to see some major hatin' then your thirst shall be quenched soon.

Happy wednesday!

Does this not just make you feel awesome

You don't want to be in the way of these guys, they will destroy you.

Alot.

Review Time!!!! Today - The Horus Heresy - Horus Rising

I know it's not 40k but shhh :P.  So this is the first book in the fantastic Horus Heresy series. We follow for the main part,Captain  Loken of the Luna Wolves and his story as his primarch Horus starts to stir shit up.

Maybe it's just me but every time i start reading one of these books it takes a while to get into knowing the characters, but once you do get into the swing of things you really will get attatched and you will end up loving the characters.

Dan Abnett takes the job of kicking this series off and manages to do so very will, he has a very, erm... educated way of writing. So it can feel a bit heavier at the start again but that is easily surpassed.

In my opinion you really should read these books if you're a fan of Warhammer 40k, as well as explaining alot of things you'll find in the other books, you will find about pretty much the defining event of the whole universe. So really it's pretty important.

Oh yeah a rating - 8.5/10

Review in the morning

Sorry, was going to post tonight, but for some reason i'm pretty damn tired.

Anyway tomorrow i plan on being a bit crazy and posting a Horus Heresy review i know it's not 40k but is pretty close, i mean it's only 10 000 years...

hmmm

anyway

Sleep well guys.

TOMORROW WE FIGHT FOR THE EMPEROR

in book review form.

Another review up later

And i'll be messing some stuff up :P

Not a review just a personal thought....

So here i am, bored. And i realised why the hell am i bored when i could be preaching to the people about how awesome these books are. So this isn't  a review, although, it may seem like a review and when i actually get round to doing on it will probably be ridiculously similar. But thar we go.

So briefly, the Space Wolf books follow the Story of Ragnar Blackmane (who is seriously a pretty epic guy) as he is enrolled in the Space Wolves space marine chapter and all his escapades once he is one. First 40k book i ever read was 'Spacewolf' the first book in the omnibus, and i've got to say, if you're someone who knows bits and bobs about SPEHS MARENS (sorry *ahem* i tend to do that sometimes) then this is an excellent starting point.

This really is hard not to turn into a review.

These books are pretty damn awesome, William King the author of these beasts managed to find a level of description which will leave you feeling very knowledgable about the Space Wolves, If you are a fan of the whole process of becoming space marines then READ THIS BOOK, seriously, essential.

By the end of the books, well i haven't finished the second omnibus yet, but everytime I decide to read another book inbetween reading this series i really miss the Space Wolves, because in all fairness they are pretty badass.

Well , hopefully this personal thought thrown out there has convinced you to read those books, seriously steal it from a friend or something (probably best not actually, just ask i'm sure they'll say yes).

FOR MACRAGGE!

First Review!

So our first review. Wow. Hopefully one day we'll look back on this and think it was the start of something. Anyway, the review.

The Ultramarines omnibus is a favorite of mine, and i'm guessing many others too. Graham Mcneil the author manages to put across the story of Uriel Ventris and Pasanius in the most fantastic way, one which makes him possibly my favorite 40k author out their.

Obviously with any series i'd recommend starting from the beginning, as i did not do, but alas i eventually sorted myself out.

The books are a joy to read and gripping as hell.

Love it. 9/10
